The Project

so many of you photographers out know of the great photographer Chase Jarvis, if you don't you have been living under a rock for like...ever! but for those of you who don't know him he is a commercial photographer stationed out of Seattle, Washington; a couple years ago he organized a massive project called the flickr photo round up. this was a giant production were he invited many of Seattle's underground photographer to have the opportunity to use pro studio equipment and supplied them with a giant studio(warehouse) to collaborate and shoot as a community. well after seeing this video i started to think on how i could do this at my high-school, for the past week i have been making phone calls, talking to art teachers ext. to organize this sort of event. i am doing it for two reasons 1) i know no one at my school who shows the same love for photography as i do and i would love to find someone; 2) i want to do something to get my community together and establish a solid photography community for everyone. if you have any ideas or hookups to get this thing going please let me know so we can begin communicating and organizing. we could use anyone from stylist to models to helping hands to hold lights. i really hope we can get this going and have a great turn out!
